Rolls-Royce Dawn arrives in Perth

I was recently contacted by Rolls-Royce Asia Pacific (Singapore) to photograph their new Perth Rolls-Royce dealership and stunning new model, the Dawn.

The shoot was done over a number of early mornings and evenings with countless more hours spent on post production. All images were taken on my Sony A7R (with either Zeiss 55mm or Zeiss 16-35mm) and used a combination of natural light, light painting and strobe (Profoto B1).

Some of the finished images that Rolls-Royce have used on their social media platforms can be seen below - along with a couple of behind the scenes shots.

Lamborghini Huracan for Box Magazine

Back in March this year I flew to Sydney to spend two days with the new "entry level" supercar from Lamborghini - the 610hp Huracan. Peter Anderson (journalist for Box Magazine) and I explored the Royal National Park and the area around the stunning Sea Cliff Bridge - great areas for both testing the cars capabilities and scenic photography locations.

Since it was a short trip I was travelling light and only had my Sony A7R, a tripod and a single Profoto B1. The weather and the matte paint finish on the Huracan were both very favourable.

Lamborghini Driving Academy - Perth

Now that the article/photos have been published in todays West Australian newspaper I can share some of the images from the day.

Alex Forrest (journalist) and I were invited to Barbagallo Raceway to take part in the Lamborghini Driving Academy. The manufacturer flew staff and 4 cars (3 Aventadors and a Gallardo "pace car") to Perth for the event which aims to teach owners and media how to drive these supercars fast but also safely.

SP Racing Team photoshoot

I caught up with the SP Racing Team recently for a photoshoot of their two supersport bikes. They had just come from the panel shop with fresh paint and stickers so it was a perfect time to photograph them. Unfortunately the bikes had already competed in Round 1 of the championship (which they won!) so the tyres weren't new and shiny.

Round 2 is this Sunday 30th June at Barbagallo Raceway so get out there and support them!

AMS Trackday

A few shots from the AMS trackday I attended last week - the star of the showing obviously being the AMS sponsored Ferrari 458 Challenge out for its first run in WA.

2013 Lotus Exige S launch

On Friday night Barbagallo held a launch event for the all new Lotus Exige S. A number of media and Lotus owners were invited for the fully catered event for their first look at the exciting new sports car.​​ Lotus Australia Brand Manager, Alastair Manihera, was also on hand to talk about the car and the direction of the company.

​The 2013 Exige S lands in Australia with a price tag of $119,990 and is powered by a supercharged 3.5L V6 delivering 345hp. It tips the scales at only 1170kg!

​I am looking forward to experiencing the performance first hand during our upcoming photoshoot and road test. Stay tuned!

Barbagallo Trackday - December 2012

This was the last trackday of the year held for Barbagallo customers at the Barbagallo Raceway - the weather was perfect so there was a great turnout. Local boy Daniel Ricciardo , Toro Rosso F1 driver, even made an appearance which was a pleasant surprise.

Ferrari 458 Italia - Delivery, Detail and Photoshoot

This was the first Ferrari 458 Spider to be delivered in Perth. I was commissioned by the owner to document the entire process.  

First up was the pre-delivery detail which was carried out over 2 days by Adam at OCDetailing.

The day after this was completed we got to share the owners excitement when he saw his new car for the first time at Barbagallo.

The following weekend I took an early morning drive with the owner to a location south of Perth for a full photoshoot.
