Velocity Race Team - studio shoot

I was recently contacted by Victoria from Photofinity Studios advising me of their new Perth photography studio which features Perths only infinity curve cyclorama, perfect for the kind of work I do!

After some recent discussions with Tim from Velocity Race Team I thought they would be perfect for my first booking at Photofinity. They required some shots of their motorbikes for use in a calendar and general promotional material so we worked out the details and made it happen.

We had all four of the teams bikes in the studio, which consisted of the two stunning 2015 Yamaha R1's, an R6 and the ZX-10R drag bike.

The facilities were fantastic and I look forward to my next job there! Enjoy the photos, all of which were taken on my Sony A7R.

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 Trio

Not one, not two, but three Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507's together in the same place on a recent Sunday in front of my Sony A7R. I originally had a private shoot booked with the white coupe but after talking to a friend about it he soon organised for two more to join us for a couple of group shots. The sight and sound definitely made getting up early worth it

BMW Car Magazine feature article

It has long been a goal of mine to get my car photos published in an international magazine that is read and seen by a much larger audience. I am happy to reveal that the UK Magazine "BMW Car" has picked up my photos from a recent E92 M3 shoot and written a feature article to accompany them. There is a photo on the front page and then a 5 page spread in the May edition of the magazine. You can download a copy on iPad or get it in stores from April 17th.

Jaguar F-Type - Australian media launch

Jaguar recently hosted members of the Australian media for the launch of their first 2-seater in 40 years - the F-Type.

The event started at the magnificent Shangri-La luxury hotel in Sydney and headed North to the Central Coast to explore the cars dynamics on some brilliant roads.

To fully test the cars Jaguar had arranged a few hours at a "private closed road" which is a 5.2km loop set in a picturesque location.

Ferrari Challenge Stradale

I first shot this Ferrari Challenge Stradale about 9 months ago but for various reasons wasn't able to get any rig shots of the car at that time. So this past weekend the owner and I finally managed to catch up early in the morning to add a couple of motion photos to the set.

I have included some shots from the original shoot in this gallery also.

Lamborghini Driving Academy - Perth

Now that the article/photos have been published in todays West Australian newspaper I can share some of the images from the day.

Alex Forrest (journalist) and I were invited to Barbagallo Raceway to take part in the Lamborghini Driving Academy. The manufacturer flew staff and 4 cars (3 Aventadors and a Gallardo "pace car") to Perth for the event which aims to teach owners and media how to drive these supercars fast but also safely.

AMS Trackday

A few shots from the AMS trackday I attended last week - the star of the showing obviously being the AMS sponsored Ferrari 458 Challenge out for its first run in WA.

Catalogues printed - product photography

Over recent months I have been continually shooting the product range for a auto electrical client of mine. The catalogues have been printed which is a nice feeling after such a long project.

2013 Lotus Exige S launch

On Friday night Barbagallo held a launch event for the all new Lotus Exige S. A number of media and Lotus owners were invited for the fully catered event for their first look at the exciting new sports car. Lotus Australia Brand Manager, Alastair Manihera, was also on hand to talk about the car and the direction of the company.

The 2013 Exige S lands in Australia with a price tag of $119,990 and is powered by a supercharged 3.5L V6 delivering 345hp. It tips the scales at only 1170kg!

I am looking forward to experiencing the performance first hand during our upcoming photoshoot and road test. Stay tuned!

Barbagallo Trackday - December 2012

This was the last trackday of the year held for Barbagallo customers at the Barbagallo Raceway - the weather was perfect so there was a great turnout. Local boy Daniel Ricciardo , Toro Rosso F1 driver, even made an appearance which was a pleasant surprise.
