Jemma from RJ Batteries in Victoria emailed me looking to get a local car photographed for use in the yearly calendar they produce for their customers. The car in question was a 1966 Valiant VC V8 located out in Muckenburra (about 90km north of Perth). The brief was to produce some simple/clean images with a countryside location to keep with the theme of RJ Batteries being an Australian owned company.
Keneric Group - Perth mining equipment photography
I’ve done a bit of work with the guys from the Keneric Group and recently they asked me to photograph some of their mining and construction machinery that is available for hire.
It was a full day shoot which also included some photography of their various property developments around Perth.

Ducati 1199 Superleggera Photoshoot
This is the first of very few Ducati 1199 Superleggeras to hit Perth streets. Only 500 of these amazing machines were produced worldwide with only a handful making it to Western Australia.
They are the pinnacle of Ducati engineering, producing 200hp to propel a 155kg motorbike. You can read more about the details and specs here.

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 Trio
Not one, not two, but three Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507's together in the same place on a recent Sunday in front of my Sony A7R. I originally had a private shoot booked with the white coupe but after talking to a friend about it he soon organised for two more to join us for a couple of group shots. The sight and sound definitely made getting up early worth it
Aprilia RSV4 Factory Photoshoot
It had been a while since I photographed a motorbike, so I approached my shoot with this stunning 2013 Aprilia RSV4 Factory with great excitement. It was also my first proper chance to test out the new Sony A7R. As expected the AF was an issue in low light but I was pleased with the results overall! The owner requested that we do the shoot down by the water in East Perth, a popular spot among the local motorcycle community for photos.
BMW Car Magazine feature article
It has long been a goal of mine to get my car photos published in an international magazine that is read and seen by a much larger audience. I am happy to reveal that the UK Magazine "BMW Car" has picked up my photos from a recent E92 M3 shoot and written a feature article to accompany them. There is a photo on the front page and then a 5 page spread in the May edition of the magazine. You can download a copy on iPad or get it in stores from April 17th.
Ferrari 458 Italia
The newest Ferrari 458 Italia to make it to Perth is this 2011 model which was purchased in Sydney and then trucked over to WA. It looks superb in the optional Giallo Triplo Strato (triple layer pearl yellow) - especially in the sun!
Keep an eye out (and ears open) for this car as not long after the shoot it was fitted with an Armytrix Australia titanium exhaust. More mods in the pipeline also!
Nissan R-34 GTR Z-Tune
I recently shot the famous ex-KSR Nissan R34 GT-R for its new Perth-based owner. What a machine - my first ride in a highly modified GT-R and it won't be something I forget soon.

Jaguar F-Type - Australian media launch
Jaguar recently hosted members of the Australian media for the launch of their first 2-seater in 40 years - the F-Type.
The event started at the magnificent Shangri-La luxury hotel in Sydney and headed North to the Central Coast to explore the cars dynamics on some brilliant roads.
To fully test the cars Jaguar had arranged a few hours at a "private closed road" which is a 5.2km loop set in a picturesque location.
